Vision & Strategic plan

To implement a community impact United Way program

Purpose

To improve lives and communities in Southeast Alaska.

capable of addressing individual needs and improving lives
by organizing the caring powers of our communities.

Strategic Direction, 2004-2010

Build the board and its diversity.  Grow and maintain a
strong and diverse board representing Southeast
communities.  Support a professional staff dedicated to the
promotion of the United Way purpose.

 Core Values
  • Stewardship
  • Leadership
  • Service
  • Collaboration
  • Caring

Implement COMPASS II.  Develop a valid methodology to
identify the most urgent community social service needs
and effective solutions to those needs.

Program support.  Mobilize our communities to most
effectively support United Way programs with human and
financial resources.

Build public awareness and reputation.  Through
impoved communications, raise the relevance of the United
Way purpose and the reputation of its programs throughout
Southeast Alaska.
